This mug was designed by Crazy Al Evans for the Kona Club in Oakland, CA. The mug has bamboo bundles down the side and a tapa pattern around the top and bottom. The back of the mug features a smouldering volcano on a hill overlooking a little hut and some palm trees. There is a surfer at the base of the mug. This is one of Al's limited edition versions of the mug.

The Hyatt Regency Waikiki at Hemmeter Center officially opened on July 26, 1976. Developed by visionary developer Christopher Hemmeter, the $100 million resort featured iconic twin 40-story towers and was the most expensive building project undertaken in Hawaii at that time.
