CATT 2015 Mug

This is a Tiki head mug inspired by the St. Louis Mainlander Mug, which in turn takes its design from the very stylized head of a Tiki fountain designed by William Westenhaver and sold through his Witco company. The mug has cold painted eyes and tongue. It differs from the St. Louis Mainlander mug in that it has a palm bark texture reminiscent of Tiki Bob mugs and the eyes are blue, not green. The mug was produced for the Chicago Area Tiki Tour (CATT) on April 24th-26th, 2015. It was a bus tour of Chicago Tiki venues, including Hala Kahiki, Chef Shangri-la, The Tiki Terrace, Three Dots & A Dash, and Lost Lake. Sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Moai. In addition to the regular edition of 50, there were also two artist proofs in a dark green glaze (without cold paint) that were sold at the silent benefit auction.
Kahakai Tiki Rum Mascot Tiki Flask

This is a brown pocket flask designed in the shape of a Tiki head. It was a promotional item for Kahakai Tiki Rum (based in Itasca, IL). They were sold in boxed sets with the company's rum, and also individually at the Hala Kahiki gift shop.

Kon Tiki Tucson Milan Guanko Face Mug in Matte Antiqued Ivory

This mug depicts a Tiki with downtuned mouth, a long rectangular nose, and upturned eyes. It is glazed in a wipe away matte glaze for an antiqued ivory (beige) look with some brown around low relief details of sculpt. It is one of The Gang of Three from The Kon Tiki which includes a Milan Guanko Mask bucket mug and Milan Guanko Head mug also designed by The Pizz. All three mugs were based from original Milan Guanko carvings by The Pizz and manufactured by Tiki Farm.
Kon Tiki Tucson Milan Guanko Head Mug in White & Green

This Tiki has a long headdress and is sticking out its tongue. The mug is glazed white with a green overglaze to pick out the details of the sculpt. It is one of The Gang of Three from The Kon Tiki which includes a Milan Guanko Face mug and Milan Guanko Mask bucket mug also designed by The Pizz. All three mugs were based from original Milan Guanko carvings by The Pizz and manufactured by Tiki Farm.
Benihana Bride Mug

This white mug was manufactured for Benihana restaurants. The mug is shaped like a young woman wearing traditional bridal headgear, the white tsunokakushi, which is a wide, white headdress or hood which covers her elaborate wig or hairstyle. Tsuno means "horns" and the headpiece represents a covering of any "horns of jealousy" a bride might have, so that she may enter her new home with openness and obedience.

Trader Sam's Grog Grotto Nautilus Drink Vessel First Edition

This is a drink vessel shaped like the Nautilus submarine featured in Jules Verne's novels, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (1870) and The Mysterious Island (1874). It was issued for the grand opening of Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at the Disney Polynesian Resort in Orlando, Florida. Measures 6" high by 14.5" long by 5.75" wide. The Nautilus Cocktail includes Barbancourt Pango Rum, Appleton Estate Reserve Rum, Combier's Crème de Pêche De Vigne, Tropical Juices, and Falernum. The second edition of this design was released in December 2017.
