Blackbeard's Severed Head

This mug was designed and manufactured by THOR and is shaped like the severed head of Blackbeard the Pirate. He has braided hair and a braided beard, eyes rolling back in their sockets, and blood gushing from his mouth and from the stump of his neck. His head rests on a wooden post that can be seen on the back of the mug, and "R.I.P. Blackbeard" is carved into that post.

This is a decanter shaped like a pirate with a skull & crossbones on his hat, holding a pistol, and standing over a treasure chest. Marked "RUM" on front base. This is one in a series of decanters made from Alberta's Molds and themed for different spirits (i.e., a Scotsman in kilt for Scotch, a Kentucky Colonel for Bourbon, an Asian Rice Farmer for Sake, etc...). These molds were supplied (and still are) for the amateur ceramicist. As hobbyist pieces, glaze color and decoration varies.
