Golden Era Tropicals Mai Tai Glass Orange
aka Justin Wojslaw Loball Glass Orange in 0 collections
This is a loball or mai-tai glass featuring three scenes with Justin Wojslaw mixing drinks. Tapa background. Bartender Justin Wojslaw was a finalist in Iron Tikitender at Tiki Kon and also bartended at The Diller Room in Seattle. Currently at Bathtub Gin in Seattle. Glass art by Tony Canepa. Planned in "Emerald City Green" and "Tropical Orange".
*NOTE: Apparently, according to an interview with Tiki With Ray (See the 10:35 mark on Episode 61), these glasses were never produced although the artwork was commissioned and paid for and they have appeared both on Canepa's site and on Tiki With Ray. The photo is apparently a very good mock-up using the prepared graphics. Hopefully these will be released in the future. Tell Justin if you would like them!
Suffering Bastard Reproduction Blue For Trader Vic's Bellevue
aka The Blue Bastard of Bellevue in 4 collections
This mug is commonly called the Suffering Bastard, and it is a reproduction of the original mug that was produced for Trader Vic's. This is a blue version of the traditional squatting tiki design marked for the opening of the Bellevue, WA Trader Vic's location. The Bellevue Trader Vic's restaurant opened in March 2006. It was located within the new Liberty Square complex, adjacent to a Westin hotel. The space was nearly 8,000 square feet, with a main dining room and two private dining rooms. The restaurant had lots of tapa cloth, and a large outrigger canoe, but was an example of the newer, modern, disappointingly sparse Trader Vic's. The Bellevue Trader Vic's closed in August 2008.

Tangata Manu
aka Easter Island Birdman in 5 collections
This is a mug shaped like an Easter Island Birdman. One of the most famous motifs on Easter Island is that of the Birdman, a therianthropic figure, half man and half bird. Over time, Moai statue making appears to have ceased, and the birdman cult came into being, reflecting a change from ancestor worship to a religion based around a new warrior class. Those who won the birdman contest were imbued with status and spiritual authority – able to act as intermediaries to the spirit realm. The most sacred area at Orongo is called Mata Ngarau, where priests chanted and prayed for success in the annual egg hunt. The purpose of the birdman contest was to obtain the first egg of the season from the offshore islet Motu Nui. Contestants descended the sheer cliffs of Orongo and swam to Motu Nui where they awaited the coming of the birds. Having procured an egg, the contestant swam back and presented it to his sponsor, who then was declared birdman for that year.
