Unauthorized Monster Marq Brown For Bahi Hut
in 5 collections
This tiki mug design was originally created in 2004 by Danny Gallardo (Tiki Diablo) for Tiki Farm. The mug is of a Marquesan-style tiki, with very large, rounded teardrop eyes, and a wide mouth showing two rows of teeth. This version of the design has no maker's mark and although issued by the Bahi Hut, was not manufactured by Tiki Farm or authorized by Tiki Diablo. It differs in several respects (not as tall for instance). Unmarked versions of this unauthorized design have been spotted with "Made In Thailand" stickers. This version is marked on the reverse for the Bahi Hut. The Bahi Hut, built in 1954, is one of the nation's oldest tiki bars, and the oldest in the state of Florida. It is a totally intact mid-century tiki bar. Their mai tai is a notorious local legend and either folks love it or hate it because of its strength and tart taste.
