Three Dots and a Dash Fijian Mermaid Mug Brown Wipe Glaze Custom
in 1 collection
This is a mug shaped like a Fijian Mermaid sideshow gaffe. The Fijian mermaid (also Fiji or Feejee mermaid) was an object comprising the torso and head of a juvenile monkey sewn to the back half of a fish. It was a common feature of sideshows, where it was presented as the mummified body of a creature that was supposedly half mammal and half fish. Designed by THOR and produced by Tiki Farm. First released in a teal blue wipe glaze for the First Anniversary celebration of Three Dots And A Dash. The second edition was glazed in a purple wipe. This custom version is in a brown wipe glaze and features hand-painted details by the artist (glossy eyes and teeth). Subsequent versions were released in a red wipe, a standard blue wipe glaze, and a lighter blue aqua wipe glaze.
