Nudes On Barrels Salt and Pepper Set Unmarked

This is a pair of salt and pepper shakers shaped like barrels with nude women leaning forward with heads on hands on the rim and their spread legs on either side of the barrel at bottom. There are several variations on this design with the staves of the barrels delineated, woodgrain on the barrels, or other slight differences or poses with the nudes. In general, these are a bit smaller and more crude than the Dorothy Kindell style shakers which preceded them. Glaze colors vary, but tan and brown are common.

This mug was created by Gecko and this version is representative of Gecko's "Sunken Treasure" line. It is shaped like a Moai, showing head and torso with hands clasped over stomach. This version has a slight lean as it is encrusted by coral and sea life. Custom/Artist proofs version vary in glazing.
Mahiki Honolulu Honey Second Edition

The Honolulu Honey mug is a hula girl bust. She is brown with wiped away white accents on a flower lei. She was designed and produced for the Mahiki bar in London. The Mahiki's Honolulu Honey cocktail is made with Pampero Aniversario rum shaken with Jules' honey cream, mango, pineapple, and fresh lime. This is an entirely different sculpted piece than the first edition produced by CheekyTiki.
Porthole To Paradise Bamboo Mug

This is a hiball bamboo shaped mug with a circular porthole graphic showing a beach scene with a Tiki and palm tree. The graphic was first used in vintage United Airlines promotional materials (plastic drink coasters with this design can be seen in Duke Carter's Tiki Quest on page 158). Glazed in a variety of colors.
Kona Kai Custom with Hula Girl

This Tiki mug has large slanted coffee-bean-shaped eyes and an open, toothless, mouth. Inspired by a Tiki at La Mariana. A friend of Gecko's said there was a similar one in the back of the old Chicago Kona Kai bar (carved by Leroy Schmaltz of Oceanic Arts and pictured on page 142 of The Book of Tiki). So he named the mug for Kona Kai. Made in Oahu, Hawaii. This version of the mug has a topless hula girl (similar to Holland Mold Pinup Girls) added to it. She has on a red lei and a red flower in her hair.
Metal Pineapple Tumbler Gold Tone

This is a lidded metal pineapple mug in gold tone. There is also a silver and a copper tone (plated metal). The larger 16 oz version has a straw hole in the lid and comes with matching metal straw. The leafy lid can be inverted to serve as a stem for the bottom portion to make it a goblet of sorts. These metal tumblers were designed by Eric Prum and Josh Williams of W & P Design out of New York and quickly became ubiquitous at all higher-end stores carrying cocktail-related items. Knock-offs from other retailers soon followed in a variety of metal finishes. By late 2017, similar designs were being mass produced and carried at larger lower-end retailers like Target.

This is a mug shaped like an alligator crawling out of a length of sewer pipe. Based on urban legends of alligators bought as babies and then flushed down the toilet when they got too big, only to thrive in the sewers of major cities. Antique brass finish on piping and green glazed alligator with red eyes. Measures 5" tall by 4.5" wide by 9" long.
