Trader Vic's Waikiki Tiki Mug Brown with White Interior Refined
aka Tiki Like Mug in 4 collections
This mug was created especially for the Waikiki Trader Vic's location. The mug has a brown glaze, with a white interior. There are several versions, many of them by Polynesian Pottery, that show great variation. Most of them are very crude and appear to have the features hurriedly inscribed on the clay, whereas this version is more refined and molded looking. The glaze is also less blotchy and more precise. This version also reads "Tiki Like" which is the name of the cocktail listed in the Waikiki TV's drink menu, not "Tiki Liki" as most of the other mugs are labeled. No maker's mark on bottom.
