Mai Tiki - Blue Edition - by Trader Jak's & House of Modern Antiquities
in 3 collections
From Trader Jak's (Jacob King):
"PRODUCT DETAILS
Trader Jak's First Ever Mug! And it has a cool story!
In 2017, my wife wanted to surprise me with mai very own tiki mug... one that resembled me. So she got in touch with world renowned Tahiti Gil and he graced my wife with a sketch of my very own tiki... 'Mai Tiki.'
Unfortunately, it proved too difficult to have sculpted by a pro, so she tried to do it herself. I thought her attempt was cool, but she threw it in the trash. :( 5 years later, I came across Gil's sketch and took matters in to my own hands.
With the help of ADR Studios and some additional sketches by yours truly, we had a 3D model. After printing a couple of prototypes, I was able to get the sample in the hands of Ron House at House of Modern Antiquities where he put his ceramic skills to work and came up with some GORGEOUS glaze options.
THIS MUG IS LIMITED TO 50 PIECES IN THE BLUE GLAZE!
#1-50 WILL HAVE THE BLUE GLAZE SHOWN HERE. #51-100 GLAZE TBD. #101-150 GLAZE TBD. MAX OF 150 WILL BE MADE, BASED ON DEMAND.
NO ADDITIONAL RUNS BEYOND 150.
These are all hand made in America by House of Modern Antiquities, and quality control will be enforced. Every mug individually inspected. With that said, these are hand made, no two glazes will be exactly alike. Small imperfections in finish/detail are to be expected within normal limits."

Hula Gumby - Limited Edition - by GeekiTikis
in 3 collections
This version of Gumby is playing a ukulele and wearing a hula skirt and a makau (fishing hook) necklace.
Gumby is an American clay animation franchise, centered on the titular green clay humanoid character created and modeled by Art Clokey in the 1950s. The character has been the subject of two television series, a feature-length film and other media. Since the original series aired, Gumby has become a famous example of stop-motion clay animation and a cultural icon, spawning tributes, parodies and merchandising.
Beginning in 1982, Gumby was parodied by Eddie Murphy on Saturday Night Live. According to Murphy's parody, when the television cameras were turned off, the sweet Gumby reverted to his true self: an irascible, cigar-chomping celebrity who was highly demanding of the production executives. Whenever the executives refused to give in to his demands, Gumby would assert his star status by saying "I'm Gumby, dammit!" in an exaggerated Jewish accent. This parody sparked a revival of the character.

Beetlejuice Sandworm Mug - by GeekiTikis
in 0 collections
Sandworms feature prominently in the 1988 American fantasy-comedy-horror film, Beetlejuice, directed by Tim Burton, produced by The Geffen Company and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The plot of the film revolves around a recently deceased young couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) who become ghosts haunting their former home, and an obnoxious, devious poltergeist named Betelgeuse (pronounced and occasionally spelled Beetlejuice in the movie and portrayed by Michael Keaton) from the Netherworld who tries to scare away the new inhabitants (Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones, and Winona Ryder) permanently. The Sandworms are from the Forbidden Zone of Saturn and hunt and chase ghosts who are caught in limbo. They are also a riff on the Sandworms of Dune, which the makers of Beetlejuice were apparently fans of.
These mugs were a special SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) 2022 Exclusive but could also be pre-ordered, and start shipping in September 2022.
