This is a coconut sized mug modeled after the round head of the Lucky Tiki's mascot tiki. The tiki has a somewhat Marquesan look, round sleepy eyes, and large nostrils. This first edition is glazed in matte brown with a gloss red interior.
These were mostly sold through a release party on premises but there were some leftover mugs put up for sale on the 1933 Group's website storefront.
Frank the Tank Tiki Libations Mug - Dark Matte - by Texas Mud Monger
in 0 collections
Frankenstein imagery with steampunk embellishment. Unknown limited edition handmade by Texas based small batch artisan Texas Mud Monger (Etsy). Another full color gloss edition also exists.
From Texas Mud Monger:
"Ever wished your drinkware had… more character?
Brought to life in a lab (probably under questionable conditions), this Frankenstein Tiki Mug is the perfect companion for your most daring cocktails. With a brooding gaze, a toothy smirk, and bolts that scream 'lightning optional,' it’s equal parts spooky and stylish. Handcrafted in high-fired ceramic, this mug will keep your drinks chillingly cold (or hauntingly warm).
Why settle for ordinary when you can sip from a masterpiece of mad science?
Each of my 10-ounce mugs are created using the best porcelain and food-safe ceramic glazes available. The exterior of the cup is hand painted with multiple underglaze colors and finished with a non-slip matte glaze. The interiors are white gloss for ease of cleaning."

While there were coloring variations shipped in both editions, the second edition differs primarily in the color-way of the central flower. The first edition features a red/orange flower and the second a yellow/orange flower.
