Polynesian Village Trashcan Mug - Cyberpunk Neon Artist Proof - by Oakwash & Tahiti Gil - for Inuhele 2025
in 1 collection
Oakwash stated that he retained 10 casts of the original 2023 trashcan army release for the purpose of an artist proof series to be made available at shows like Tiki Oasis, Inuhele, etc.
[NOTE: Since "Artist Proof" is conventionally the term for test pieces that an artist makes before committing to making a limited edition, these issued after the main run would more aptly be referred to as Custom Pieces, but more and more artists use Test Glaze, AP/Artist Proof and Custom interchangeably in their marketing these days...]
The cyberpunk trashcan is one of the APs made for Inuhele 2025. Omar experimented with ombré colors and textures in this release.
A video walkthrough of each Inuhele 2025 AP was made for the artists Patreon channel: https://www.patreon.com/posts/120894065?utm_campaign=postshare_fan
This particular item was the artist's favorite piece.

Adventurer - by Bosko - for False Idol - Artist Proof
aka Adventurer - by Bosko - for False Idol - AP in 1 collection
The Adventurer is a prototype mug that was made several years ago for False Idol. It was made in the wrong size, so it was shelved.
Bosko recently used the original molds and made a small limited edition of 23 Adventurer mugs. Bosko originally wanted to make the mug in yellow and made an artist proof in yellow. He changed his mind and made the final mugs in orange.
The mug is based on a piece of art that Bosko carved for False Idol and features the name, False Idol, on the lower back of the mug.
The mug stands 7 inches high and holds about 10 ounces. Like most Bosko mugs, this mug was handmade in Bosko’s Southern California studio.
R-76 Lookalike Mug - Unmarked

Trader Pang's Handled Skull Mug - Brown
in 0 collections
Although there was a Trader Pang's Restaurant in Chico, California during the 70s, the line of mugs marked "Trader Pang's" is thought to be the name for the overseas import mugs sold through Hilo Hattie stores circa 2002. There appears to be no connection to the Trader Pang's restaurant.
This mug appears to have the rounded features of the earlier produced Otagiri skull mugs. It is marked "Trader Pang's" in black letters on a small white rectangle on reverse.
