Tiki Caliente 2013 Double Old Fashioned Glass

This loball was produced for the 2013 Tiki Caliente in Palm Springs. Features the Tiki head designed by Doug Horne on the front. Heat decals on both sides. Two color-ways: one in orange/brown and one in green/brown combination. Measures approx 4.5" tall by 3.5" diameter across top, and 2.75" diameter across bottom.

This decanter has a glass face mask and ear covers to monitor "fliud levels". Metal air hose coupler covers the jigger spout. Brass and copper accents. Textured glass bottle. This will hold about 3/4 of a quart. Bottom sticker on some of these is marked Himark Decorative Design Co., Japan. Sometimes these were built with a music box base, with such songs as "How Dry I Am" and "Love Story". Himark made other music box drinking vessels, including German beer steins.

The Stone Guardian Tiki tile was created by VanTiki. It has almond shaped eyes, clenched teeth, and spiral designs around edges. VanTiki cites both Mayan and Marquesan influences, which are apparent. Glaze colors on each tile vary.

This full-body Tiki is sporting a wide grin and giving the shaka sign with a hibiscus flower on the back of his hand. Ornate tapa patterning around lips and eyes. Top and bottom show palm bark. Crazy Al designed the smaller head-only Hang Tiki mug for Tiki Farm back in 2002, but this piece shows the entire carving (#34 was carved in 2001). Overall edition of 250 in this design includes: #1-50 in AP, deluxe, and custom colors, #51-150 in Baja Brown one-color glaze, #151-250 in 4 editions of 25 in differing glazes. This is "The Tiki Caliente 5 Edition" (one of the last 4 editions within the 250 total run of mugs) and has a more prominent blue wash on the exterior.

This Tall Two Face Tiki Lighter comes from a mold manufactured by Duncan Home Ceramics. The mold was created in 1967. There is a different face on each side. The tiki has his thumbs up and is smiling on one side and his thumbs down and has a straight mouth on the other. Has a lighter insert at top, usually nickel plated.
