Pele is the goddess of fire, lightning, dance, and volcanoes. She is a popular figure in many stories of ancient Hawaii. This mug shows the angry side of Pele. Don the Beachcomber Modern Coconut Mug Reproduction. Matte exterior and white glazed interior, with the Don the Beachcomber wood sign logo on the front & registration mark. Manufactured by Tiki Farm and marked "DTB 2009" in the mold on the bottom. The original mugs are smaller and do not have the registration mark on the front.

The newer Don the Beachcomber chain (including Madeira Beach and others run by 23 Restaurant Services after they acquired the brand from Delia Snyder) also issued a very similar coconut mug by Tiki Farm, but marked "2024" on bottom.
