Porpoise Island was an 18-acre Hawaiian-themed amusement park. Every year, the owner would go to Hawaii to audition young entertainers to play at his park during the summer. The park featured a Polynesian revue, bird and porpoise shows, and a deer petting zoo. In the theme park's TV commercials there were women dressed in Hawaiian garb (grass skirts, bikini tops and leis) doing the hula.
