Kindell's stripper mugs came as a set of six which showed a progressive striptease starting with a lady in full evening dress and ending with a fully nude figure draped over a barrel. Decorative bands across top and bottom of barrel. The set was glazed in a light beige and the dresses were glazed in a variety of colors (black, red, green or white). Matching nude figures can also be seen on a variety of her other ceramics ranging from pitchers to salt and pepper shakers.

Captain Ahab sailed the whaler, Pequod, in Herman Melville's great 19th century American classic, "Moby Dick". He lost a leg and then his life in pursuit of the great white whale, who triumphed in the chase and sunk his ship.
