La Mariana Papua New Guinea Drum Mug Studio Red Lava Glaze

This is a mug shaped like a drum from Papua New Guinea. It has a mask on the front. There are other editions of this mug, including a regular brown edition, an edition in gloss brown with some cold-painted details, and an edition of more elaborate custom mugs (some of which come detailed with real animal skin stretched over the top and trimmed with other natural materials). The regular La Mariana edition comes in different glaze colors as well (beige, green, blue, etc...). The Studio Red Glaze has been used on several designs but is only made available to those who visit Gecko at his studio on the island of Oahu.

This is a mug shaped like a Tiki with a porthole on the reverse that you can see through. A large anchor design on the reverse also. Glaze is a sort of blue rutile with brown and white coloring as well. Thanks to a removable clear inner chimney glass and a flashing LED cube, this mug allows you to view and illuminate your drink of choice. The ceramic outer mug measures approximately 7.5" tall and the inner plastic mug approximately 6.5".
