Tiki Day At The Park Mug 2018

This is the third mug released for the annual Tiki Day At The Park event held each year in Disneyland. These were not sold at the park, but online through Tiki Diablo's big cartel website. It is a full-bodied squatting tiki mug glazed in an antiqued dark green with brown highlights, small round eyes edged in red, and an extended pointed red tongue. Definite resemblance to the Enchanted Tiki Room shield tiki that was originally designed by Rolly Crump.

This is a rectangular brown mug marked for the Hala Kahiki in River Grove, IL, and marked with their signature pineapple logo in yellow. Reverse features a palm tree.
Ohana Hui Tiki Stacker Collaboration Set

This three part Ohana Hui Stacker collaboration mug set was made by Scott Taylor (Beachbumz /Tiki Pop), Rob Hawes (aka Tiki Rob) & Carol Gravem (Mini Tiki Meow). They were glazed in multiple colors. The three traditional tiki heads (Ku, Lono and Marquesan) stack together and each is stamped on the bottom by the contributing artist. The Marquesan head (Areiti) was made by Scott Taylor and measures 3.5" tall x 3.5" wide and holds 8 oz. All three stackers premiered at Tiki Oasis 2018.

This is a Maori influenced full standing Tiki mug with Moko designs on face, protruding ears, three-fingered hands held at stomach, and standing on a squarish base. The Mai-Kai opened in 1956 and they added the Molokai Bar in 1958. This is a prominent Tiki in that bar. The mug version was made by Tiki Diablo for the Mai Kai and was first available in three colors (including a "Tobacco Brown"), but this "Tiki Diablo Brown" glazed version was later sold at the first 2018 Shipwrecked event in Marina del Rey.

Frankoma War God Prairie Green For Cultured Pearl

This tiki mug was created by Frankoma Pottery for the Cultured Pearl in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hefty mug made of red clay with a prairie green overlay, of an angry tiki face with large teeth. In about 1971, Joniece Frank became friends with two men who were starting a small Polynesian restaurant in conjunction with an after-hours club called The Cultured Pearl. With the encouragement of her father, Joniece made a few of the old Club Trade Winds items - perhaps 25 or so of some of the smaller items. Both the restaurant and this association were very short-lived, and items with The Cultured Pearl marking are very rare.
