This mug depicts H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu (pronounced: "kuh-THOO-loo"). Cthulhu made his first official appearance in the short story "The Call of Cthulhu," written by Lovecraft in 1926, although no living character in the story ever sets eyes on the actual creature. The characters we meet in the story see Cthulhu either in dreams or in artwork. The narrator of the story says that a statue of Cthulhu resembled, in part, an octopus, a dragon and a human-like or anthropomorphic creature. This mug was released by MONDO in 4 glaze variations and was manufactured for them by Tiki Farm and designed by renowned artist, William Stout. This glaze variation is the "Unfathomable Depths" in cobalt blue and is a Mondo Exclusive limited to 200 unnumbered pieces. All 4 were released on 03/13/2018.

This standing Tiki has a long headdress and is wearing a clawed necklace. It is sheltered by a cobra. The mug is glazed in a very light celadon green. It appears Milan Guanko inspired and also has skulls and tropical foliage around the sides and back. There is also a version in iron oxide brown. 500 were issued in each color glaze.
