Cthulhu - by Geeki Tikis
aka Cthulhu Mythical Creatures Mug in 0 collections
This mug depicts H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu (pronounced: "kuh-THOO-loo"). Cthulhu made his first official appearance in the short story "The Call of Cthulhu," written by Lovecraft in 1926, although no living character in the story ever sets eyes on the actual creature. The characters we meet in the story see Cthulhu either in dreams or in artwork. The narrator of the story says that a statue of Cthulhu resembled, in part, an octopus, a dragon and a human-like or anthropomorphic creature.
The Geeki Tikis Cthulhu Mug is part of their Mythical Creatures line which also includes Medusa, Bigfoot, and Cyclops in this second series. This 2024 series was preceded by a 2017 first series including mermaid, dragon, Kraken, and unicorn. A seasonal Krampus mug was also included separately within this category.

Stay Puft Marshmallow Man - Embellished by Faust
aka Stay Puft Marshmallow Man - Toasted in 1 collection
This mug is shaped like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man mascot from the film, Ghostbusters (1984). Mr. Stay Puft first appears as a picture logo on a prop package of marshmallows in Dana Barrett's apartment, on a graffiti advertisement on the building next to the Ghostbusters' HQ, and then in the climax of the film as the gigantic physical manifestation of the Sumerian deity Gozer. Subsequently, he has been incorporated into many other Ghostbusters media, including the animated series The Real Ghostbusters, comic books, a stage show, and video games. Mr. Stay Puft resembles the Michelin's Bibendum (also known as the "Michelin Man") and the Pillsbury Doughboy. Along with the Ghostbusters logo, the image of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man has become one of the most recognizable emblems of the franchise. The regular edition mug features a blue-wiped glaze with red spot decorations. There is also a Bone Variant and an orange wipe Cross The Streams Variant (Limited to 150 from DesignerCon). The mug was designed by Joe Allard, sculpted by Tufan Sezer, and created with contributions from "Thor" Thordarson and the crew from Tiki Farm.

Da U'u Warclub Mug - by Motu Mikey
aka Marquesan Warclub Mug - by Motu Mikey in 2 collections
Designed & Sculpted by Motu Mikey
Inspired by the Marquesan U’u
Initial Release: January 31st, 2022
Edition of 150
Medium: Cone 6 Stoneware
One of the most striking and unique pieces of oceanic art is the U'u War Club. These clubs were the weapons of the 'Toa', the Henata warriors. Each U'u was cut to its owner's height. They were carved from pacific ironwood (also called 'Toa') and buried in the muddy taro fields for weeks. Coconut oil was used to polish the clubs smooth which gave the weapon a beautiful finish. However, they were not ceremonial, nor ornamental. They were used to kill.
*This design was also released in a Halloween micro edition (ivory with skulls) and a Custom Painted edition.
