Tukií - by Carol Gravem (MiniTikiMeow) from a design by Dylan Hof (Tiki Dylan)
in 2 collections
The name "Tukií" means rock and stone.
This mug design is a collaboration between MiniTikiMeow (Carol Gravem) and Tiki Dylan (Dylan Hof). Based on a Tiki Dylan carving that resides in Jacoby's Tiki Bar in Sydney.
Made as closely as possible to Dylan’s carving. The headdress he made could only be approximated in miniature.
Made from a total 12-piece mold, but in two sections that Carol attached together. You can see that the mug only goes down as far as the legs. So the rocks are a separate piece. The headdress carving and the woodgrain painting are all hand-done on each mug. There is a hole in the bottom to let any steam escape during firing in the closed bottom portion.
Premiered at the Tiki Oasis Marketplace, July 31st - August 4th, 2024. Limited to @25 pieces total.
