Mouth of Pele Ali'i Edition

Mouth of Pele was designed and manufactured by Gecko. It is a tall tiki head with large slanted, closed eyes, furrowed brows and a large open mouth. This version of the mug was intended to be an edition of 25, but only one was made. Overall reddish brown matte glaze with many carved details pieced out in white, including Maori patterns on back.

This decanter was produced for Jim Beam. It depicts Hongi Hika (1772 1828), a New Zealand Māori rangatira (chief) and war leader of the Ngāpuhi iwi (tribe). He was a pivotal figure in the period when Māori history emerged from myth and oral tradition and Pākehā (Europeans) began to settle rather than just visit. He is 14.5" tall when on music base. Standing next to him is a large Maori Tiki.

Fermentation Lounge Pirate Bucket Mug

Created for the Fermentation Lounge in Tallahassee, FL. This is a bucket mug featuring a pirate holding onto a ship's wheel. "Hold" and "Fast" are tattooed onto the knuckles of the pirate's hands. The mug is stained with a wipe-away glaze to pick out details of the sculpt, leaving dark brown in the crevices, but the overall color is a matte beige. Back of mug features the bar's "Jolly Lager" emblem of a beer mug and crossbones. Carved in the mug are the initials of all of the bar's staff at the time of initial production.
