Hale Pele Little Lava Person Mug - Matte Black with Red Bowl - Master Fire Drinkers Edition - by Munktiki - for Hale Pele
aka Master Fire Drinkers A’apoe Mug - by Munktiki - for Hale Pele in 0 collections
This mug is shaped like one of the little lava people, the A'a'po'e, who help to keep Pele from blowing her stack by cooling her with their everflowing lava. This mug resembles the fountain statue on the left as you enter Hale Pele, with its bowl of cooling lava held in both hands. The Tiki has slanted coffee bean-shaped eyes, a slotted mouth with small tongue protruding, and spiral designs on chest and legs.
This Master Fire Drinkers Edition comes in matte black with a red bowl. It also has a heat decal on the back for the "Loyal Order of Fire Drinkers" in red and gold. This bar has two different customer loyalty (incentive) drink programs: the Loyal Order of Fire Drinkers which must finish a long list of straight rums from around the world to complete the program and become a master, and the Loyal Order of Water Bearers which must finish a similar long list of cocktails.
This mug design also has a Limited Edition (in several color ways) and a Super Limited Edition (that has a tri-color gradation from top to bottom of yellow, then orange, then red). The mug's signature drink, the A'a'po'e, is described as: "an amazingly quenching and tasty blend of pot-still Jamaican rum, piney gin, spices, and tropical fruits."

Primitiva - Second Edition - by Eekum Bookum
aka Sandy Warner Mug - Second Edition - by Eekum Bookum in 2 collections
A mug based on Martin Denny's 1958 Primitiva album cover featuring Sandy Warner with a set of hands to complete the cover image.
Sandy Warner was an actress and singer, but will always be most famous as the face of Exotica.
It's fair to say Sandy Warner is the second-most famous album cover model of the vinyl era, behind Dolores Erickson, Herb Alpert's "Whipped Cream Girl."
Sometimes on the albums, Sandy has her long brown hair pulled back, sometimes she’s bleach-blonde and positioned against a wall with African idols, but she’s always tempting the listener with those almond-shaped eyes to escape modern American life and take a trip with her to somewhere exotic. Warner appeared on 16 Martin Denny LP covers, and while she had a minor career beyond her appearances as a tiki icon, it's these photos that defined her career and created a cult following that still exists today.
*This Second Edition mug was preceded by an almost identical first edition without a set of ceramic hands to set in front, cupping water, like on the Primitiva album cover.
