Mythosaur Skull Mug - for Galaxy's Edge
in 0 collections
Mythosaurs were creatures of gigantic proportions found on the Outer Rim world of Mandalore. The Mines of Mandalore were a mythosaur lair. They were allegedly tamed and ridden by Mandalore the Great and ancient Mandalorians, but they were believed to have gone extinct long before the Mandalorian cataclysm, although at least one mythosaur survived and lived in the Living Waters during the time of the New Republic. Its skull was one of the traditional symbols of Mandalorian iconography, and some Mandalorian armor bore the distinctive symbol.
This mug has a light gray skull on a light brownish beige tumbler exterior with green interior.
This skull mug is one of at least three mugs that have been authorized by Disney, including one manufactured by Geeki Tikis and one created by Tiki Farm for Oga's Cantina.
Mythosaur Skull Mug - by Geeki Tikis

From Geeki Tikis:
"Behold the Mythosaur Skull mug!
Mythosaurs were creatures of gigantic proportions found on the Outer Rim World of Mandalore. They were allegedly tamed and ridden by ancient Mandalorians.
Although long extinct, this traditional symbol of Mandalorian iconography can now be admired as the Galaxy's coolest drinking vessel. And to be quite honest, doesn't your favorite beverage just taste better out of the skull of a Mythosaur?
This 18oz. MEGA Mug measures approximately 8 inches high x 6.25 inches wide and is made from heavyweight stoneware. It features a beautiful grey glaze with a darker wash which accentuates the details of the skull.
Experience the aloha with every sip!"
This was the second mug version of the Mythosaur, preceded by a Disney Park version and later followed by an Oga's Cantina version.
It was released at the New York Comicon on October 6-9, 2022. Later sold through Geeki Tikis and Toynk, etc. online...
Mythosaur Mug - First Edition - by Tiki Farm - for Oga's Cantina - Star War's Galaxy's Edge - Disneyland
in 0 collections
This is a mug shaped like the skull of a Mythosaur surrounded by rocks.
The mug is made to look like brown jagged rocks with black highlights. On one side is the Mythosaur skull with a pair of tusks curving down toward its mouth. The skull is a bony gray color.
The Mythosaur is a legendary creature native to the Mandalorian home planet of Mandalore (or Manda’yaim, in the Mando’a language). It was previously thought to be extinct, having been slowly eradicated during the long years of infighting between Mandalorian clans. At least one Mythosaur survived both that and the Great Purge, as discovered in the Living Waters by Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze in season three of “The Mandalorian.”
The Mythosaur skull symbol is important to Mandalorian culture and often used on flags, shields, and armor. It’s common for Mandalorians to adorn themselves with the Mythosaur, especially if they don’t have a clan signet of their own.
*NOTE: This mug is used to serve "The Mythosaur" cocktail which includes: Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange and Guava Juice with a splash of lime juice topped with Appleton Estate 8 Year Reserve Rum, Goslings Black Seal Rum, and Blue Curaçao Liqueur.

2025 Modernist Week - Ed Crissman Big Tongued Tiki Head Mug - by Eekum Bookum
in 0 collections
This mug is based on one of the original Caliente Tropics Tikis — a Tiki which still stands on the grounds of the hotel today — that was carved in the 1960’s by Ed Crissman.
Instead of a root ball head, however, the top of the mug has a modernist bisected circle pattern - perhaps evoking breeze blocks or some other design element found in Palm Springs.
These came in several different color-ways.
Released at Sancho's in Palm Springs on Friday night, February 14, 2025 at 7 PM.
Sam's Seafood Maori Mug - First Edition - by Stella Bodey & Spurlin Ceramics
aka Sam's Seafood Lined Face Maori Mug in 0 collections
This is an early design from the 1960s created by Stella Bodey. This design was also made into a mug and bowl form by Beauce Pottery of Canada and Spurlin (Stella Bodey, again) did a salt and pepper set of this design.
Early postcards show the Sam's gift shop with rows and rows of these mugs (all with what look like red price stickers on the side of the head), but surprisingly few of these mugs have lasted into the modern era.
Later, in 2007, Tiki Farm did a modern version of this design for Sam's Seafood shortly before it closed and later became Kona and Don the Beachcomber. The modern version was sculpted by Squid based on early postcards and menu graphics, as no original could be found. As a result, there are quite a few key differences between the versions.
