Giant Crab Claw Mug - Crimson Coral Edition - by VanTiki
in 2 collections
VanTiki made a new edition of the Juvenile Crab Claw in crimson coral, which features more texture than the earlier versions of his crab claw.
Prospective buyers had an opportunity to purchase the mug by signing up for a crabbers license. Vantiki would notify buyers based on this sign up process when mugs were available for purchase on the website. You could not purchase the mug without a “crabbers license”.
There were only 200 of the coral produced (and 250 "licenses" issued to pre-order -- so not every licensed buyer was guaranteed a mug), with the last of this version finished around Thanksgiving 2024.
This is called a “trick mug” because you cannot set it down when filled. You must finish your drink while holding it.
Dragons Breath Mug - 2nd Edition - Green - by Thor and Tikiland Trading Company - for Cutwater Spirits Distillery
aka Cutwater Spirits Dragon - Green in 4 collections
This is the second dragon themed tiki mug released by Cutwater Spirits Tasting Room in San Diego, CA. It could be purchased only in store. This mug has variations in finish and shade similar to the variation found in the first edition red dragon. They are matte & satin finished in varying shades of smokey mint green.
“Dragons Breath” was the name of the seasonal tequila based cocktail served in the mug (although an alternative cocktail could be selected for those who do not tolerate spicy cocktails). The mug features a pocket in the nose for dry ice, creating the smoking effect when served.
These imported mugs were packed 12 to a crate in 55 total crates making the final production around 600.
Some were given for free to Cutwater staff prior to launch.
Hiwa Sheba - Graveyard Edition - Black with Jewel Eyes - by Jeff Granito - for Tikiland Trading Company
in 0 collections
From TikiLand Trading Company:
"History of this mug - The original Hiwa Sheba (Black, 1st edition) was first revealed in August of 2019 at Midsummer Scream, followed immediately at Tiki Oasis, and then was sold at Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney, in Anaheim, as part of Jeff Granito's Artist in Residence, as well as here at TikiLand Trading Co. These originals were blind box colored jewel eyes. We later released a small batch, that we literally found in a box in our garage, where we allowed people to select the eye color of what we had available at the time.
We know that this black version has been highly sought after since it sold out, and very few have been sold in the secondary market since. We receive pretty regular requests for this mug, so we've decided to bring back a version of it... briefly, just in time for Halloween!"
