Pele Decanter - Open Edition - Orange Glaze - by Sven Kirsten
aka Power of Pele Decanter 3rd Edition in 7 collections
This is decanter shaped like a female tiki and with a cork topper shaped like a flame.
From Tiki Farm:
"Sven Kirsten designed this orange and lava textured example of female power. Inspired by a wooden statue that was located at the defunct 'The Tikis' theme park, it translates to the Pele rising from the erupting lava flow. He published a photograph of this particular tiki in the Book of Tiki, page 187. He and Tiki Farm are delighted to offer this open edition for everyone to enjoy. It measures 14 1/4 inches to the tip-top of its orange flame topper. Sven describes this piece being an 'object of desire' and a highly-stylized mid-century Tiki art at its best!"
Sven Kirsten released a limited edition in purple on his personal web store, True Tiki, before the release of the open edition in black or in orange by Tiki Farm.
El Tamboro - by Tiki Diablo
in 10 collections
This is a mug shaped like one of the central tiki figures on display in Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room -- flanked on either side by monkey tiki drummers.
It is a large horned figure with a tall central drum held between feet and hands. Brown glaze with red, yellow, and blue details.
Measures 11" tall and 7 1/2" wide from horn to horn.
The piece is designed with two chambers -- the top chamber intended for dry ice -- and a couple of the nostril holes allow vapor to escape.
This was a pre-order that started in January 2020. Long delayed by Covid, these finally were made available at the end of July 2021, with a few initial pickups at Tiki Oasis on July 29th, 2021 and shipping in batches continuing through September 2021.
Tiki Oasis 2021 Riki Tiki Mug - First Edition - by Eekum Bookum
aka Tiki Oasis 21 Riki Tiki Mug - by Eekum Bookum in 16 collections
This year's mug for Tiki Oasis is shaped like a tiki head with a lidded hat and flame on top.
This event marks the first year that Tiki Oasis was held at the Town and Country Resort. The mug is modeled after their one and only vintage tiki on the premises -- a William Westenhaver Witco Mainlander carving named “Riki Tiki” that was placed atop their pavillion.
On special occasions, Tiki torch flames or fireworks would be set off from his head. Riki caught fire a couple of times even though he was protected from the flames via a sheetmetal dulì (Chinese farmer’s hat).
San Diego Fire Department officials soon put a stop to that, and Riki Tiki was relocated to good ol’ terra firma. The pavilion and Riki Tiki have survived under various names to this day.
The mug was issued only on premises with the Deluxe Evening Resort Pass ($420) and the mug was billed as a $150 value.
The Other - First Edition - Green - by Big Toe
aka Maori Frankenstein in 9 collections
This mug was based on Big Toe's (Tom Laura's) painting, The Other. It is a re-imagining or "What If?" that considers the end of Mary Shelly's classic story of Frankenstein's Monster and what might have happened if instead of going to the North Pole at the end he had hopped a ship to the South Seas instead and found more inclusion among native islanders.
The mug is a depiction of the Monster similar to Universal's classic flat head version with bolts in the neck, but he is dressed in Victorian finery with a bow tie and suit, and his face is covered in Maori moko tattoos. Glazed in green. Manufactured by Tiki Farm and although Tom carried around a sample to many shows in advance of its release, the actual mug went on sale at the Tiki Farm booth at Tiki Oasis on Saturday, July, 31st.
Headhunter Mug - by Chan Tiki
in 3 collections
A native head with a bone through its nose and a zombie-like glaze color scheme of green skin, and yellow eyes.
From Chan Tiki:
"Inspired by the famous Mr. Bali Hai Tiki with a more realistic take. Holds approximately 21 oz. Each mug has unique features and hand sculpted pieces. Kiln fired with food safe glazes. Headhunter is matte green with purple glaze interior."
