"This mug is inspired by the Hawaiian Ku. The word Kumu has several meanings in Hawaiian, including teacher, foundation, base, beginning, and source of origin. It is often used to refer to the main trunk of a tree, the 'foundational' base branch. A classic Hawaiian type carving, the creation of this mug has taught me new techniques and kickstarted my year of learning new things, in a way my teacher.
For this edition of 100 there will be 45 in the red 'Pacific Sunset' glaze, 45 in the 'Green Flash' glaze, and 10 artist proof special glazes.
This is the Green Flash Variation (yellow/blue/green fade with green foam inside).

This mug is shaped like the barrel of Trioxin gas in the film, Return of the Living Dead (1985), that contains the zombie known as "Tarman". You can see Tarman through the "window" in the top lid.

A mug shaped like a Sleestak. It is a lizard-like monster with large glossy round red eyes, a horn on top of its head, and mitten-like hands that are paddle-shaped with only the thumb as a separate digit.

Sleestaks/Saleesataka/Sarisataka are the Lizard People from the television show, Land of the Lost, a live-action show mixed with stop-motion animated dinosaurs, which originally aired on Saturday mornings from 1974 to 1976, on the NBC television network. It has since become a 1970s American cult classic. Krofft Productions remade the series in 1991, and adapted it into a feature film in 2009.
Land of the Lost details the adventures of the Marshall family (father Rick and his children Will and Holly), who are trapped in an alternate universe or time warp inhabited by dinosaurs, a primate-type people called Pakuni, and aggressive humanoid/lizard creatures (described as similar to insects) called Sleestak.

Tarman first appeared in The Return of the Living Dead (1985), in a petrified state inside of a Trioxin canister. A crack in the tank releases the 2-4-5 Trioxin gas and reawakens the Tarman while melting its skin.
