The Kona Kove Lounge was housed within the Stardust Bowl recreation center. It is unclear when it was built or closed, but it was open as late as April of 1970 as there are ads from that time for live music at the venue.

This bar is also mentioned in James Teitlbaum's Tiki Road Trip as part of the Stardust Bowling Alley and in Sven Kirsten's The Book of Tiki on page 198.

The Castaways Hotel opened on the west side of the Las Vegas Strip across from the Sands Hotel in 1963, became one of the casinos billionaire Howard Hughes bought in the late 1960s and survived into the 1980s, when it was demolished to make way for Steve Wynn's The Mirage in 1989.

In 1963, the casino was themed as a Polynesian Resort, with Tiki torches and palm trees surrounding the exterior. It also included Pacific Island Tiki-themed showrooms and a bar with a fish tank in which a woman swam to entertain patrons.

The following year, in 1964, the Samoa Room showcased "Playmate of 1964" with March & Adams/Dick Wells/Jay Nemeth. The Kon-Tiki Room showcased continuous entertainment.

Successive remodeling as the years went on sometimes went against theme. For instance, outside the hotel, Castaways managers bought and assembled a sixty-year-old scale replica of an East Indian Jain temple, made of elaborately carved teakwood, which they called "The Gateway to Luck".

In 2017, Mahiki took over this second London location on Kensington High Street location from alpine cabin-themed club Bodo’s Schloss, which is situated beneath the Royal Garden Hotel and just a few hundred meters from Kensington Palace. Rumours of a tunnel connecting the palace to the club for VIP royal access have existed for as long as the site has been a club. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke of Sussex, Rihanna and Harry Styles have all partied here.

The location is a 350-capacity, 6,000 square foot space and was detailed and designed for the Mahiki by CT Creative Limited, a sister company of CheekyTiki. One detail that this Mahiki had in abundance were oriental jade glazed temple tile divides. These were molded by CheekyTiki and are still for sale through their now re-branded company, Little Grass Shack.

In October of 2019, it was announced that Mahiki was closing and would be replaced by Bloom Nightclub.

In addition to the original London location (now closed) and the Kensington location (now closed), the Mahiki franchise has spread to several other venues. Mahiki Clubs have opened in Dubai, Arab Emirates (now closed), Marbella, Spain (Mahiki Beach/open), in the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia (now closed), and Mahiki Manchester (opened in 2017 in collaboration with Gary Neville's company GG Hospitality Management Ltd., closed in 2018, then reopened in 2019, and closed once again in 2020). There was also a Mahiki club in Gothenburg, Sweden (closed).

This location opened in 2017 (in collaboration with Gary Neville's company GG Hospitality Management Ltd., closed in 2018, then reopened in 2019 before being forced to temporarily close once again because of COVID. It re-opened once more in July 2020 but was forced to shut down for breaking the rules in August 2020 (and had its license taken).

PoNaNa on the Triangle became Lola Lo in September of 2014. It is one of several in a chain of Lola Lo bar/restaurants that have opened over the years (including Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester, and Reading) but only Bristol and Reading remain as of late 2024.

Port O' Three was a very short-lived restaurant that lasted only a couple of years. It opened in 1971. The facility was big, seating approximately 500 people and with 140 workers/crew with 3 different themed dining rooms...a Polynesian Room, Japanese Room and a Ship/Nautical Room that had a 19th century schooner ship inside. The Ship Room was designed to give the feeling of being on a top deck of a sailing vessel. In-between the main dining rooms was a tiki bar with hand painted (black light) murals on the walls. The property, a site of the former landmark, Devon Gables, was acquired by Marvin Chin, (CHIN TIKI) Dr. Walter Thom, and Rourke Haas in May of 1971 and they re-opened it as Port O' Three in September of that same year. Since Marvin Chin, owner of the Chin Tiki, was also co-owner of Port O' Three, its menu, swizzles, and signage used many of the same graphics (and same drink list) as the Chin Tiki.

Canlis Charcoal Broiler Restaurant was opened in 1954 by owner Peter Canlis and architect George Pete Wimberly. It is known for its high-end architectural and interior design as well as the kimono-clad waitresses. It also had a large 15' tiki in the main banquet hall whose design is repeated on their logo menu art. This tiki was carved by Edward "Mick" Brownlee (a non native who was also acknowledged as a master woodcarver and became known as the "Waikiki Wood Carver". Brownlee also carved for The Waikikian, The Tahitian Lanai, The International Marketplace and the Aku Aku in Las Vegas. His story is documented in the book, Waikiki Tiki, by Phillip S. Roberts. A second Canlis' Restaurant was later opened in Seattle, Washington. The original Canlis' was razed in 1998.

Pau Hana Lounge was a tiki bar, part of On the Hiyu, a rental facility from Seattle, Washington, based on a previously retired ferry. The 165-foot ferry, called the Hiyu, was converted into an arts space, which was available for special event rental, and which hosted some public arts events including music and cabaret acts. The ferry had two interior passenger compartments, and one contained the Pau Hana Lounge which was created by Aleks Petrovitch, a longtime member of the tiki revival scene who used to own Aqua Surf Shop in San Francisco, and Tiki Bosko of San Diego. The work started in summer 2017, and the bar opened in late 2017 or early 2018. The Hiyu was moored on the east side of Lake Union.

In May 2022, after having been temporarily closed for a time, On The Hiyu posted in social media that they moved to Cabo. As of December 2022, their boat is still posted for sale.

The Inferno Room opened September 11, 2018 in the Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis, in a building that previously held a Marion County courthouse. This is the creation of longtime tiki devotee Ed Rudisell, in partnership with his wife Sasatorn Rudisell and Chris Coy. The trio have a number of successful restaurants in the Indianapolis area. Rudisell aims to bring his passion for authentic mid-century Tiki to the city.

The drink menu and food menu pay strong tribute to classic Polynesian restaurant menus, executed with quality in mind. Youll find classics from Don the Beachcomber, Trader Vic, and Indianas own Stephen Crane alongside contemporary tiki concoctions from their own Infernal Tribe.

The decor plays to the sense of danger and mystery in tiki, with a particular emphasis on fire. Rudisell took his time with the build-out, to ensure he could bring together the immersive space he desired.

Papua New Guinea artwork is especially featured, with many vintage and many newer pieces on display. Milwaukee artist Dave Hansen of Lake Tiki Woodcrafts (also known as Lake Surfer) hand-carved much of the new art, including the giant PNG mask overlooking the first floor.

The Reef Bar is within the Caliente Tropics Resort in Palm Springs, a historic tiki hotel that opened in 1964.

The bar at the Caliente Tropics has changed names, theming, and management many times over the years. Originally, the bar was the Congo Room restaurant, a steakhouse. After the Congo Room years, the bar adopted its most-used Reef Bar name, and there was also a brief period in the late-'00s when it was Hawaiian Bill's.

After many years with the bar in flux, as of March 4th, 2017 it re-opened under the management of Rory Snyder, perhaps best known as the organizer of the annual Tiki Caliente event at the Caliente Tropics (and Circa Caliente). The bar has large windows and a patio overlooking the hotel's swimming pool, and rather than fight the light, Snyder aims to differentiate from the other tiki bars in town and create a space that blends the mid-century history of Palm Springs with the classic tiki elements on the grounds. In addition to mugs and glassware, the bar also sports its own line of branded rum bottles with label designs by Anthony Carpenter.

The Don the Beachcomber location in Marina del Rey opened in 1970. It is one of the "UFO" shaped versions of the restaurant, with a round building topped by a low-slung wraparound roof with a pointed top. The restaurant makes an appearance in the 1989 Patrick Dempsey film Loverboy as "Tiki Joe's". The restaurant was closed by the mid-'90s. The building is still there, attached to the Marina del Rey Hotel, but underwent a dramatic remodel in the early 2010s, and is no longer recognizable.

Kona Pali is a 63-unit apartment building, built in 1962 in Granada Hills, in the San Fernando Valley. It is a remarkably well-preserved example of a midcentury Polynesian-themed apartment building. It has an identical twin in San Gabriel, the Kona Kai Apartments. The entrance is a dramatic A-frame. The entryway has a tile mosaic of the Hawaiian islands, and a water feature. Tiki carvings are all over the common grounds of the complex.
