This restaurant, along with The Hawaiian in Salt Lake City, was owned by Johnny Quong.

Hula's Island Grill in Monterey started off initially in 1998 with more of a Hawaiiana/Surf feel, but has been deepening its tiki roots over the years, most notably with the addition of their Tiki Room. Carved masks and trim details by the artist Bosko are throughout the restaurant, and a very large Tiki Tony carving shares the space with much bamboo and Leeteg reproductions. The restaurant is enormously popular with locals, and has a very cozy, intimate feel. Traditional drinks include a proper Mai Tai, and Hula's has their own branded glassware and their own branded tiki mugs available (call ahead to make sure they are in stock).

In 2006, a second location opened up the coast in Santa Cruz. Then, Hula's Modern Tiki opened in Phoenix (2009-2018) followed by Hula's Modern locations in Scottsdale (2014) and High Street (2020). The first Hula's Modern Tiki in Phoenix re-located on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 to a new location on Seventh Street north of Camelback Road, less than a mile away from the original.

The Indianola was a lovingly-restored, small 12-unit hotel in the Movie Colony district of Palm Springs. The property was originally opened as the Indianola Lodge in 1955, and had fallen into disrepair when it was purchased in September of 2001 by partners Michael Glenner and Steven Rockwell. Glenner and Rockwell turned the run-down hotel into a posh clothing-optional resort for gay men, with a retro, polynesian pop theme. It opened in 2003. Guests were greeted with a lei and a cocktail on arrival; there was a weekly cocktail party where guests were encouraged to wear costumes provided in their rooms, including sarongs and pith helmets.

The Indianola closed in 2008, and today as of 2021, it is home to the Avanti Hotel.

The original show which premiered in Tokyo Disneyland at the park's opening in 1983 is long gone. In 1999 it closed to make way for The Enchanted Tiki Room: Now Playing Get The Fever!, which was a Las Vegas-style lounge music show. In 2008, Stitch took over the Tiki Room with Stitch Presents "Aloha E Komo Mai!"

A local-music dive bar that served the SLC Ska/Punk set. There does not appear to be a connection with the Albuquerque Burt's Tiki Lounge. It closed in 2014.

When the Enchanted Tiki Room opened at Walt Disney World in 1971, it was a duplicate of the original Enchanted Tiki Room found at Disneyland.

In 1998 it was updated to be more "modern" with a show called "Under New Management". The new show featured the '90s-era Disney animated bird characters Iago and Zazu. The now loud, unsettling and money-focused show featured disco balls, flashing lights, and in place of the beloved water fountain, a shouting, angry tiki goddess named "Polynesia." However, even in this darkest hour, the building itself was still worth a visit, with classic Exotica tunes (such as Martin Denny) often heard playing in the lovely lanai area. The transporting paradise was not entirely lost.

Then, in January 2011, the Tiki gods had finally had enough. A fire struck the Enchanted Tiki Room, and the show room was damaged enough to shut it down. It was restored and reopened as a slightly edited version of the original Enchanted Tiki Room attraction in August 2011, and is now back to the grand, historic, relaxing escape we all love.

This location is now closed and has been replaced as of 2021 by Mary'z Mediterranean Cuisine.

Charming neighborhood bar that began a conversion to tiki in 2001 when it was purchased by current owners Dave and Rebecca Fernandez. Purple Orchid serves tropical drinks in mugs featuring their logo tiki that are available for sale. Purple Orchid periodically hosts parties to celebrate special events such as Halloween, New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day, by having bands perform on their small tiki-filled stage. Purple Orchid has two pool tables covered in purple felt, and a jukebox containing a few tiki-bar friendly selections, including APE's Jungle Sounds. The owners' Purple PT Cruiser painted with color-changing flames and the Purple Orchid can be seen around town. Be sure to visit the restrooms, which are papered with pages from Sven Kirsten's Book of Tiki.

This was actually the second location for Ciral's House of Tiki, and the first location was a few blocks north and lasted for about 8 years.

The exterior had a large neon sign flanked by several electric beer signs and had a sort of diner look to the casual observer.

This bar was a big draw for locals and for both University of Chicago students and professors alike.

The interior featured bamboo trim and curtains, hanging plants, pufferfish lamps, and a vintage Budweiser sign with circling Clydesdales.

There was a jukebox filled with 78 rpm albums, especially classic soul and R&B.

The menu featured classic rum-based tiki cocktails and if anyone ever ordered tequila they were met with a lecture by the owner on the dangers of tequila as a poisonous liquor.

Bottled beer was also available.

Their food menu is remembered for its fried fish or chicken and for its baby back ribs.

This bar was featured in the Gene Hackman film, The Package (1989) -- starting at the 50:40 minute mark.

This is a restaurant and tiki bar inside the Napili Shores Resort in Lahaina.

The restaurant dining area is a large open room bordered by windows with spectacular island views.

The interior of the restaurant and bar are not decorated in an immersive classic style like you might expect from classic tiki bars like Trader Vic's, etc. Instead, the restaurant has white ceilings and their tropical accents mainly consist of bamboo trim and faux greenery throughout with a few inexpensive tiki masks. The tiki bar is a smaller, darker, and cozier space with more tiki masks and a tiki mural on the back wall.

Solid food offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A small number of classic tiki cocktails, and other more modern cocktails with a tiki spin - and a couple of non tiki drinks renamed to be tiki-ish.

Soft opening July 3-4th, 2024.

Founded as a speakeasy tiki bar with a generally nautical theme inside a larger restaurant called MacStack Tavern in Port Clinton, Ohio outside Sandusky.
