This mug is based on a vintage 10' tall carving of a Frigate Bird done by Jim Casey that originated in 1960 with the opening of the Kona Kai in Philadelphia. It sat above their entryway originally and was salvaged when the Kona Kai was demolished in 1985. Later, it was purchased for Max's along with several other pieces in the Jordan Reichek collection which were catalogued by Sven Tiki in his exhibition catalogue book, The Art of Tiki, in 2017.
This mug was preceded by an ultra detailed version limited to 25 pieces and hand-painted by Max's in-house ceramics crew (Olivia, Elise, and Jerry "Bertiki " or "The Rainbow Professor").
This is the less detailed regular limited edition of 200 pieces which are 40% smaller than the Super Limited version.

This event mug was issued for the fourth annual Arizona Tiki Oasis, the twin event to the San Diego Tiki Oasis, and held on April 28th-May 1st, 2022. This was held at the Valley Ho resort (est. 1956) in Old Town Scottsdale.
The mug was issued with the "Deluxe Evening Resort Pass" which was a value of $200, and $100 more than the "Regular Evening Resort Pass" without mug, so initial value can be estimated at $100.

There is also a super limited edition with green-glazed figure.
From Horror In Clay:
"Mysterious Inuhele Island abounds with all manner of wonderous things. Their avian diversity is particularly amazing, with birds and birbs of all flavours roaming the skies. While the volcano is home to a giant firey bird of prey, the little garnish phoenixes build nests of cinnamon all over the island and dance and play in the sparks of 1000 small fires.
The colorful Jungle Birbs and Birbs of Paradise 'Garnish Phoenix' mugs from Inuhele: Atanta's Tiki Weekend were so popular they sold out waaaay faster than anticipated. We didn't want to dilute the numbered edition by making more, but are offering an open edition of the sculpt in 'wood' and 'stone' versions."

From Tiki Farm:
"Designed to be a sidekick to our Peg Leg Party Parrot, 'The Toucanator' is right on point. Artist Tim Wollweber gave him tattoo markings on his beak, partially recognizable as Papua New Guinea tattoos & pictographs that represent birds & feathers & wind, just to get some real world reference onto this mug. The headdress of 'The Toucanator' is reminiscent of a high chief. Colorized in an island-style scheme, the red, green and yellow give this bird the pop of color this dark creature needed to mingle at 'The Party'.

This is an Easter island Moai with topknot designed by Tank Standing Buffalo for Tiki Farm.
From Tiki Farm:
"We proudly bring you a classic Tiki mug design, but with a unique 'Tank-twist'. Rongo-Rongo is an inspiration of the majestic Moai Tiki Gods of Easter Island.
Created for us by our brand-new Art Director himself, Tank Standing Buffalo! Tank created his version of the Tangata Manu (bird man) on the backside and kept with stylings of some of the behemoth statues, maintaining the topknot (Pukao) feature as well, found on some of the Moai on Easter Island!
Glazed in a dusty lava-inspired gray with a black wash, Rongo Rongo stands 7 1/2 inches in height and holds 12 oz."

"The Grand Bouquet.
101 pieces will be available. These are ready to ship. We wanted it to be in your hands in time for the holidays.
$200 (+$15 shipping).
This project has been a huge milestone for us. Without a doubt, this was a passion project. This is my dream mug.
I wanted the vivid colors, and distinct features that are evocative of paradise. The matte exterior that showcases the softness of the flowers. I wanted a traditional theme with a completely non-traditional design. I wanted a bold, dramatic edge. I want this to be a statement piece.
Thank you all for being so patient while we got this ready, we just wanted to make sure it was right.
Each mug will include a Hibiscus umbrella from our friends @the_tiny_umbrella ! The colors matched so perfectly, we are thrilled to be able to share them with you."

This is a mug sculpted as a wood-carved version of the Orange Bird.
Orange Bird is a Disney character first created in 1969 and debuted in 1970 as a mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission, in exchange for them sponsoring the Enchanted Tiki Room attraction and Sunshine Tree Terrace at the Magic Kingdom theme park. Orange Bird is an animated orange canary. The artistic design of Disney’s orange bird is actually attributed to two different artists, depending on which sources you’re looking at. Most official Disney publications say he was created by Don MacLaughlin, but a number of other historical accounts mention Bob Moore. It seems that perhaps Don MacLaughlin created some of the original designs or concept art and then worked together with Moore to narrow down and finalize the design.
From Trader Nic's:
